The Twin Cities Marathon is officially over, and I've officially finished my third marathon. As many know, the weather was just about the worst it could have been on an October day, which meant that I finished in no where near the time that I had planned/hoped for. The record breaking heat took its toll on me and my asthma and I ended up walking a lot of the race. The important things are that I finished, and I don't have to run another marathon for quite some time (even though I noticed that in each marathon I finish a half hour slower than the previous one (4:30, 5:00, 5:30) so really I ought to just quit running them altogether...)

I'm stiff today and the nagging pain in the back of my knee that's plagued me since Helsinki is as present as ever (as it was yesterday), but I'm going to take some time off and heal before getting back into running road races, etc. I'm registered for the Monster Dash, which is in a couple of weeks, but I'm planning on taking that easy, and I might run it in costume.

For now I'm considering this blog retired. I may come back to it, but since its title refers to a completed Finnish marathon, it really isn't useful anymore. So, Adieu.
